About the ORAI

ABOUT THE ORAI

Otematata, in the Waitaki Valley, is a stunning small town in New Zealand, we are proud of our town and all it has to offer both locals and visitors.

We are a volunteer organisation made up of residents and homeowners who live in, and/or have an interest in Otematata, giving locals a voice in our community.

We are committed to continually improving our town through new community projects, maintaining amenities, fostering goodwill, co-operation and a sense of community amongst our district.

We aim to provide a forum at which ideas and feedback can be given a voice, assist with events/projects, promotions or activities as may be agreed upon.

We have a range of ongoing and new projects underway.  If you have skills you would like to share, new members are always welcome.

We currently have a range of new initiatives upcoming with our Community Led Development Programme (CLDP) in conjunction with The Department of Internal Affairs.  See CLDP tab for further information.
